How Condition Moves a Birkin's Price
Condition moves a Birkin more than anything except size and leather. Store fresh means unworn, with the plastic still on the hardware. Excellent means carried lightly with the corners intact. Good means visible wear without structural damage, and fair covers corner wear, marks or a handle that needs attention. None of them stops a sale, and an honest photo of the worst of it gets you an offer that does not move when we arrive.

Togo and Epsom are the benchmark calf leathers and price close together. Chevre goat and Barenia pay above them. Ostrich, lizard and crocodile sit in a different league: a crocodile Birkin can be worth more than double the same size in Togo. The two sizes with buyers already waiting. A clean 25 or 30 in a core colour is usually priced within minutes of the photos arriving.
Noir, Gold and Etoupe
The three colours that always have a queue. Seasonal brights sell too, but at a lower figure unless the bag is rare.
Gold hardware
Gold and rose gold carry a small premium over palladium. Unpolished and unscratched matters far more than the metal.
Special orders
A horseshoe stamp beside the date stamp marks a special order, and it is worth materially more than a standard bag.

We buy complete sets only. That is what lets us authenticate in minutes rather than days, and it is why the bands on this page are what they are.
- The bag, the key, the lock and the clochette.
- The box and the original receipt. The receipt settles the year and proves ownership in one go.
- The year. The year you bought it is fine, or read the blind stamp with our date stamp checker. We buy from 2012 onwards.
- Six photos: front, back, base, inside, the date stamp and the hardware, plus one of the receipt.
- Photo ID and proof of address on the day. We ask for both on every purchase, without exception.
